How's your love life?

Finding love may take a little magic, a little good luck and just a matter of good timing.  Hidden away in your Four Pillars Chart may be the answer to all your love woes and joys.

Let me open the magic door for you….

First, let’s start with what kind of an Animal you are. The 12 lunar years of the Chinese calendar are each appointed a zodiac sign symbolized by an animal.  Legend tells us that at the time Lord Buddha ascended into Heaven, he called to the animals to say goodbye.  Only twelve responded.  As a token of his appreciation, he named a year for each animal in order of its arrival. First came the Rat, followed by the Ox, the Tiger, the Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and better late than never, the Pig.

These twelve animal signs or Earth Branches have within them a season of the year, directions, fixed elements and a yin or yang sign.

It is believed by activating your Peach Blossom Direction you can expect new and exciting lovers to enter your life.  So, go get yourself a compass and place a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers into a vase and set this floral arrangement first in your Year Branch Peach Blossom Direction.  If, after three months, you’re not getting dates, place the flowers in your Day Branch Peach Blossom Direction.

Please remember to change the water every day and immediately replace any wilted flowers.  If you don’t, the relationship could go sour (Caution: If you are married or in a committed relationship, do not activate your Peach Blossom Direction; this could cause infidelity).

Timing is also important for many of these love spells to work. The best way to understand this is in the Four Pillars of Destiny. Four Pillars was originally known as Tzu Ping Astrology. It was named after Tzu Ping Hsu,who, during the 9th century, changed the face of Asian astrology by introducing new and revolutionary ideas to the then existing astrology by analyzing all influences of time in a person’s chart. These cycles of time include hours, days, months, years and ten-year cycles. As with all Chinese natural sciences, time, also, is influenced by the interaction of yang & yin.  And, this interaction is represented by the combination of a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch.

There are 10 Heavenly stems and they are the yin & yang aspects of the Five Elements.  The 12 Earthly Branches (the zodiac animals) are also the five elements and their yin & yang qualities.  But, the Branches have two extra Earth elements thrown in to bring the total up to 12. This combination is organized in a cycle of 60.  Six cycles of 10 stems and five cycles of 12 branches equal one cycle of 60.

The Four Pillars are set up in four vertical columns.  The first column (left to right) is the Hour Pillar, the second is the Day Pillar, the third is the Month Pillar, and the fourth is the Year Pillar. In each Pillar you will find the “Ten Gods” or the Heavenly Influences.  The “Ten Gods” reflect our destiny.  Their influence can show us how we will live our life or the major paths we may follow.

The “Ten Gods” are: “Friendly Parallel” & “Unfriendly Parallel”; “Proper Resource” & “Unbecoming Resource”; “Output” & “Drastic Output”; “Proper Power” & “Unbecoming Power”; “Proper Wealth” & “Unbecoming Wealth”.

For a woman, “Power” represents boyfriends and husbands.  For a man, “Wealth” represents wives and girlfriends.  Any time we start a relationship under their influence we can expect a long & happy union. So, how do we know when we’re going to meet this special someone?  Answer:  When our “Wealth” or “Power” is either in the Branch or the Stem of a particular year.  If the “Wealth/Power” is the Stem, then romance comes to you; you are the Pursued.  If the “Gods” are in the Branch, then you make it happen; you are the Pursuer.  However, if the “Power/Wealth” is “Unbecoming” the relationship will be a long & stormy voyage; but, if the “Power/Wealth” is “Proper” the union will be more lasting & loving.

The Chinese believe you should marry when you ‘re supposed to marry!!! To give you an example, I’m going to take from Hollywood some highly publicized friendships:

Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan met, supposedly, in the early part of the year 2000.  The year 2000 is the year of the (Yang) Metal Dragon, with the Dragon being an (Yang) Earth Element.  Yang Metal is the Stem and Yang Earth is the Branch.  Russell’s  “Unbecoming Wealth” is Yang Metal.  Therefore, the timing was right for him to get romantically involved with someone.  The relationship may last awhile, but it’ll be a bumpy ride.

Ms Ryan’s “Proper Power” is Yin Water.  As you can see from above, the year of the Metal Dragon is not a good time for her to start a romance.  When she met Dennis Quaid on a movie set in 1988 it was the Year of the Earth Dragon, with the Dragon being a Yang Earth element.  Since Quaid’s “Proper Wealth” is Yang Earth, it was no wonder he fell in love with his leading lady.  But, I bet he had to bend over backward to win Meg’s heart. And, when these two married on Valentine’s Day in 1991, the odds of success dwindled with the Metal (Yin Earth) Sheep as his “Unbecoming Wealth” entered his chart.

When Gywneth Paltrow met Brad Pitt during the production of the film Seven, the year 1994 was a (yang) Wood (yang) Earth Dog cycle.  Ms Paltrow’s “Unbecoming Power” is Yang Earth and Brad’s “Proper Wealth” is Yang Earth.  The Elements brought them together, but Gywneth got cold feet.  I wonder if they’re still carrying a torch for one another?

Brad Pitt soon met Jennifer Aniston. They first started dating in 1998, which was the year of the (yang) Earth Tiger, with the Branch being  (yang) wood. They then married in the summer of 2000, which is a (yang) Metal (yang) Earth Dragon.  Brad’s “Proper Wealth” is Yang Earth and Jennifer’s “Proper Power” is Yang Water.  For Brad, the timing was right to find his true love & then make her his wife. But, Jenny may soon get restless and want to fly the coop.

Funny man Jim Carey found his Renee Zellweger on the movie set of Me, Myself & Irene in 1999.  The Year of the (Yin) Earth (Yin) Wood Rabbit didn’t match Renee’s “Proper Power” of Yin Fire, while Jim’s “Unbecoming Wealth” of Yin Earth was more irritating than fun.  Soft-spoken Renee may have thought she found her Prince Charming, but the ”Grinch” stole away in the night.  Now, it’s Spiltsville in Who’s-Whoville for this couple.

What happens when one-half of a couple is in their ‘right time’ but the other half is not?  Answer: There is usually a struggle to maintain the relationship.

Have you ever known a couple that were together for years & years and then the minute they marry they spilt?  In the Four Pillars there is something called the “Marriage Palace”.  It can tell us what we can expect from married life. If Elements are unfavorable/favorable in the “Marriage Palace”, then the marriage will be unfavorable/favorable.  If “Proper Wealth” or “Proper Power” is favorable/unfavorable to the “Marriage Palace”, then the spouse will be favorable/unfavorable.

So! Finding love, sweet love is a matter of the right Timing, a helluva a lot of good Luck and a little bit of some good old fashion Magic!!!  And, of course, it wouldn’t hurt to check with your local astrologer.
